When reviewing the market at the beginning of the year, it seemed there was a glaring omission in one area in particular - specialised outplacement or exit coaching for HR professionals. Many HR professionals spend a good chunk of their careers managing others in and out of organisations and are familiar with the outplacement approach, but what happens when the HR professional find themselves on the receiving end of a re structuring project?
Of the people we spoke to, this blanket approach was not addressing the needs of the HR professional; there was no specific understanding of their situation - the organisation gatekeeper of resourcing and retention being ‘let go’.
In response to this need we have designed something a little more relevant - Lifeplacement™. This approach is not about providing admin support; it's not about providing a switchboard service and it's not about teaching the individual to call all the people they know in an attempt to find a new role through ‘networking’. It’s about understanding the needs of the HR professional, getting under their skin and providing practical and relevant advice and support during what is a challenging time for them.
