Courtenay HR becomes latest firm to join Interim Management Association
Courtenay HR, one of the longest established UK executive search firms, has successfully applied to join the Interim Management Association, the professional body representing major UK providers of interim managers to the public and private sectors.
In the past 12 months alone, Courtenay HR, which was set up in 1971 by Christopher West, undertook almost 150 senior interim management placements in sectors ranging from financial services and manufacturing to pharmaceutical and not-for-profit organizations.
Kate Mansfield, who manages Courtenay HR’s Interim Practice said: “For us, becoming official members of the Interim Management Association, is formal recognition of our success in broadening our brand portfolio to incorporate specialist expertise in supplying interim HR professionals. Founded in 2000, Courtenay Interim has continued to go from strength to strength and has become a mainstay of our client proposition. We pride ourselves on maintaining close relationships with Interim HR Professionals, working with and through them to source successful solutions for our clients.”
Nick Robeson, IMA Chairman and Chief Executive of Boyden Interim Management, said: “I am delighted Courtenay HR has satisfied the IMA’s strict criteria for membership and has become the latest executive search firm to join.
“Their membership helps to underscore the fact that IMA members provide interim managers occupying leading positions at the highest levels of FTSE 250 companies, SMEs and government departments and agencies”.
“Our members are deeply influential upon a UK economy that is going through intense change and development, creating the perfect business environment for even more interim managers to have an even greater influence and impact."
Companies that apply for membership of the IMA must demonstrate that they are a separate business or division with three years or more operational experience; that at least eight out of ten assignments are at a day rate of £500 and above; and that they will comply with the IMA’s Code of Professional Practice and Good Conduct.
